ALC supports the objectives of Victoria’s Heavy Vehicle Driver Safety Reform. There is a clear case for change. Holding a lower-class licence for a set period does not mean a driver has gained useful experience. A short training course does not, by itself, show that someone is ready to safely operate a more complex heavy vehicle.
