The Australian Logistics Council has welcomed the opportunity to submit to the NSW Government's Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Plans (SRITPs). This submission includes recommendations to strengthen the Plans by placing freight and logistics at the core of decision-making. ALC highlights gaps in freight network investment, land-use planning, and infrastructure integration that, if unaddressed, will increase costs, reduce efficiency, and impact NSW’s economic growth. ALC is calling for urgent action to prioritise freight rail capacity, protect key freight corridors, improve first- and last-mile connectivity, and integrate decarbonisation efforts.
